I highly recommend a trip to Washington DC.
I have traveled to Washington DC four times. Each time I have toured different plac
es and still have not seen everything there is to offer in our beautiful capital.
My third trip was in October 2012, but didn’t upload pictures to my online photo album.
My fourth visit to DC was very special. I was a companion to two Korean War Veterans traveling on the Great Dubuque Honor Flight. Visiting the war memorials and memorials 
for each branch of the military with a Veteran was an amazing experience. To see these memorials through their eyes gave me an entirely different perspective. Don’t get me wrong, I have always been very respectful of memorials to our Veterans. But to see them with a Veteran is a very moving experience. I highly recommend visiting our nations memorials with a Veteran. The experience will be life changing.
