U.S. Great Plains

What states make up the U.S. Great Plains?  Nebraska, South Dakota, North Dakota, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, and the east side of New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana (I have not been to New Mexico or Montana, otherwise I have these states covered.

In 2012 and 2013 we had the opportunity to travel to Rock Springs, Wyoming, for the National High School Finals Rodeo.  My son, Matt, qualified to compete in the trap shoot competition as a member of the Wisconsin High School Rodeo Association.  It was a fantastic experience for contestants and parents, and the rodeo competition was amazing.

We had some extra time to drive through Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park. We drove around the Flaming Gorge in northern Utah.  On the way home we visited South Dakota and Minnesota.   A wonderful trip, with beautiful scenery.
