Hawaii 2008

In August, 2008, I traveled to Oahu, Hawaii, to study the attack on Pearl Harbor during World War II at the East West Center and National Endowment for the Humanities Landmarks of American History and Culture workshop for Teachers.   In attendance were 40 teachers from the United States and 10 teachers from Japan.  It was interesting to compare how the two different countries teach the same event.  We toured many sites and were allowed to visit places a tourist would not get to see.

Travel back in time to December 7, 1941 to witness the the destruction.
